Dave's original songs all have interesting and sometimes poignant stories behind them as he prefers to write tunes for individuals he knows-usually when they're having some sort of difficulty. The result is an uplifting tune, meant to rekindle joy in living. Of course, Dave has many tunes that are just plain fun, based on his own life experiences, as one would expect.
Dave's instrumental pieces reflect his skill in two distinct areas-jazz and classic guitar. Dave has played in many jazz groups and has also been featured as a solo Spanish guitarist playing his own compositions that reflect the classic and flamenco traditions for guitar.
